Mr. Wolski is a Sector Specialist in the Advanced Industrials and Defense practice at Daybreak Capital Partners. With over 30 years of experience in the global high-tech industry, Mr. Wolski has held various senior level executive positions during his career and has operating expertise across a broad base of disciplines such as design engineering, quality control, manufacturing operations, sales and marketing, and business development.
Mr. Wolski’s operating experiences include 14 years with Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), where he was a key contributor to the success of several major new product start-up programs, which included extensive domestic and worldwide outsourcing initiatives for the company.
Mr. Wolski later founded DevTek, an engineering and manufacturing services company. DevTek grew rapidly and quickly became a key supplier to several major companies within the computing and data storage industry. In DevTek, Mr. Wolski created a versatile, globally focused business model that allowed for low cost turn-key EMS services, ranging from rapid prototyping of new products to manufacturing fulfillment.
Mr. Wolski sold DevTek to PEMSTAR, Inc., a U.S. based electronics manufacturing services (EMS) company with multiple international facilities. In the years following the sale, Mr. Wolski continued to work for PEMSTAR and then joined Plexus Corp. For over a decade, Mr. Wolski worked for publicly traded EMS companies as a senior level business development executive working with companies in such industries as aerospace and defense, consumer electronics, test and measurement equipment, computing and data storage, industrial process equipment, and medical device markets.
Following Plexus Corp., Mr. Wolski, founded EM-Tek, Inc., a business which provides economic and workforce development consultation services to various organizations in the public and private sectors. Mr. Wolski through this venture has directed state and federal economic development initiatives to help revitalize, grow and sustain the manufacturing industry in Colorado and other areas within the United States. Mr. Wolski also currently serves as Chairperson for the Greater Colorado Springs Regional Business Alliance Aerospace Defense Industry Team, and the Southern Colorado Manufacturing Consortium Regional Innovation Taskforce.
Mr. Wolski holds a MBA from University of Phoenix, with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from CSU-Pueblo and an A.S. degree in Mechanical Design Technology from Pikes Peak College. Mr. Wolski has been a long-standing member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME). Mr. Wolski holds several U.S. patents that have been used in a variety of successful test equipment products for the computing and data storage industry. Mr. Wolski served in the United States Air Force and is a veteran of the Vietnam War era.
