Debbie Brandel is a Sector Specialist in the Healthcare practice at Daybreak Capital Partners. In addition to Daybreak, Ms. Brandell is a Principal with Preferred Health Strategies, a national healthcare consulting company specializing in strategic and business planning for medical device manufacturers, hospitals, physician groups and other health care organizations.
Her areas of expertise spans Medicare, Medicaid and the commercial health sector. Ms. Brandel has extensive experience with due diligence evaluations for mergers and acquisitions for her clients and acquistion targets. Her past clients have included large, international medical device companies as well as new and emerging manufacturers.
Prior to joining PHS, Ms. Brandel spent two years at Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield in New York City.
Previously, Ms. Brandel served as the acting Branch Chief for the Medicare and Medicaid programs in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Management and Budget in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Washington, D.C. she served as a liaison with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (formerly HCFA), the Executive Office of Management and Budget and Capitol Hill.
Ms. Brandel received her Master of Science Degree in Public Policy from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
