Ken West is a Sector Specialist in the Healthcare practice at Daybreak Capital Partners. Mr. West is also a Principal at TCG, a business development and interim management consulting firm specializing in medical devices, diagnostics and biotechnology.
Mr. West’s background includes 30 years of business development and market development experience in the medical device, specialty materials, veterinary, and information technology fields for both entrepreneurial and large companies. He early career included experience at Eastman Kodak and FMC Corporation, and he has held senior management positions at three start-up companies, including Biolex and VetInsite, which were both acquired by larger firms, and Embrex, which went public and was later acquired by Pfizer.
Since 1999, Mr. West has been a consultant, and has taken interim management positions with companies entering the US market, including Curasan, Inc. and TEM Systems, Inc. As President of each of these US subsidiaries, Mr. West built and managed the US organizations, growing them into multi-million dollar subsidiaries with direct sales forces.
Mr. West holds a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
