Brian Geier brings more than fifteen years of experience building and leading analytics and business intelligence functions across high-growth technology, subscription, and consumer companies. His work centers on helping organizations turn fragmented data into decision systems that drive measurable enterprise value, a perspective shaped by senior operating roles rather than a purely technical or advisory background.
Most recently, Mr. Geier served as Vice President of Business Intelligence at Recurly (owned by $25 billion Accel-KKR), a leading subscription management and billing platform, where he led the analytics organization and partnered with executive leadership on data strategy and value creation. Earlier in his career, he held analytics and finance leadership roles at Naked Wines, Sling TV, and DISH Network, and began his career in operations at Michels Corporation. Across these roles, Mr. Geier has specialized in scaling data capabilities for companies moving beyond ad hoc reporting toward durable, governed analytics foundations.
Mr. Geier is the founder of Driftless Data Partners, an independent analytics advisory practice serving private equity-backed and late-stage software and subscription businesses. His practice focuses on data governance, modern data infrastructure, and the organizational alignment required for analytics, automation, and AI initiatives to succeed.
Mr. Geier holds an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
